    Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited refers to its announcement on 27 May 2002
    concerning the decision by the Industrial Relations Commission to dismiss the
    application brought by Roderick Smith for unfair dismissal.
    On Friday 14 .lune 2002, Saracen’s solicitors were served with a notice of appeal by
    Roderick Smith appealing against the decision of Commissioner J H Smith.
    No date has yet been set for the hearing of the appeal.
    Saracen is confident that the appeal is misconceived and will be dismissed.
