ok if all speculators went to TAB guess what? there would be no liquidity in the secondary market like the ASX. then when someone wants to raise money nobody will take it up because they know they cant onsell it if they want to easily (coz there is no liquidty coz we are all at tha tab). then all of a sudden firms cant get funds and guess what - growth is stunted. then GDP growth slows. then unemployment rises. then crime increases coz nobody can find a job. then that guy comes into your house and steals everything in your house then all of a sudden he falls over in your house and injures himself. so then the burgular decides to sue you because he fell over in your house while trying to rob you. then you have to pay him 500k plus medical expenses.
