I was in a Myers recently and it was a ghost town.
More staff folding clothes than customers browsing.
I remember back to when I was a kid. In my area, Myer was very popular with shoppers. Place was packed. Somehow my mother was able to browse the store for several hours and not get bored. Now it's pretty much just a thoroughfare between the car park and the main mall.
It's been another business which hasn't seemed to evolve as the public's shopping wants, needs and habits have evolved.
Now this may upset some people however, when a male goes to a shopping center to buy new clothes, shoes, whatever, he doesn't want to get served by another male who thinks/acts like he is a female. I simply leave and do not go back and I know many others of the same opinion.
When you go to try some clothes on and just outside the change room is this gay dude asking if everything fits nicely then you open the door to show your wife and want to get her opinion the gay dude answers, oh that just looks wonderful! In a tone that makes me cringe. Well I'm sorry myer and all the others, but I'm going somewhere else.
