The one sitting on the throne in the verse your showed is Yehowah, the God and Father = Simples to THOSE of Him.

John is the teller of Revelation, why does he say no one has ever seen God in his own book in the first chapter?
    Is John lying?

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God

Who himself is God which aligns with the first verse:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

What about Timothy, is he lying?

16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.

If it's that simple, you explain it.

How can the NEW JERUSALEM come down out of the one sitting on the throne?

2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

But how can it come down from God when God is on the throne?

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

There's the guy sitting on the throne again. The Guy that is calling that isn't God?

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

There's Jesus and that water welling up to eternal life again.

13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
