Would that be the Book written so that you know that Jesus is the Son of God and not god man, or god son, or god in the flesh OR the Word and yet crazy enough, people go and add all these crazy things.
To know the Son, your naturally first need to know the Father, to know who the Son of, so John introduces the Father for most of the first 13 verses, fitting with the likes of Mal 3:1, Isa 40:3.
