It was about putting CSG on the backburner and focussing on conventional gas, but in the end that did not matter. The anti fossil fuel activists were still misleading the community, by claiming that the 'Rosella' well was CSG, which upset the community and led to Mels unlawful suspension, by the NSW State Govt.
Mel drilled over 50 wells and had been in the NR since 2004. The community only turned on Mel, when the anti fossil fuel activists started their campaign, in the area.
