Well not just doesn't work...has never worked....thats why it takes a very special person to belive the next time we wil do it smarter........Intelligence was never the problem....
.the fact that only those most bat shyte crazy/schizo are the ones that advocate for collectivist societys is the real reason ......if/when they get their way society becomes a transplanted personality less analogue of their own everyday mind so it can never succeed past the initial hard fascist and authoritarian environment it needs.
