If some bright spark stared a campaign, that the Sudanese are somewhat related to the Palestinians....and that the thugs doing the killings are really Israeli soldiers with painted faces....the UN will drop everything and focus on the genocide that's going on.....otherwise...as you say...they'll examine it in 4 years time...and another Kofi Clone will get off scot free....might even be appointed to head the UN....
It worked for Kofi...No one remembers his involvement in Rwanda....
