A center party that gained the most seats in parliamentary elections two weeks ago has formed a governing coalition that has vowed to get rid of a zero-tolerance policy on mining and selling of radioactive minerals, including uranium.

The centrist Siumut party has teamed up with market-oriented Atassut and populistic Partii Inuit. In all, they have 18 seats _ two above the 16-seat majority threshold.

If the new government are saying, (yesterday) that the ban will be abolished then this will be a catalyst for a major re-rating in the share price.

The project will be massively de-risked over night and we will see a lot of new interest and investment in GMEL.

Investment funds will begin to build positions from this point and won't risk waiting to buy higher.
