What I keep seeing, and I find it particularly annoying, is that the papers are making into an either or situation. One either chooses the environment, or one chooses jobs and business. What I think all of these outputs are failing to deliver is that this mine is NOT that bad on the environment. Perfect? No, but what mine is? But putting it into either or does nobody but extremists any good. I think the EIA has delivered quite solid evidence this mine will not harm. What was it? .03 percent uranium? I think the strategy has to be demonstrating the over-reaction. I don't think that attacking people for not promoting jobs and the everyone is welfare will go very far. People are quite capable of living in poverty...for a cause. But there can be a middle way, it does not have to be one or the other.
