Just as an aside in regards to the NBN, we will be equally well off as holders under a Coalition or Labor government. The 25mbps download speed offered by the Coalition plan is more than enough for full HD streaming. Recent advancements in data transmission over copper lines made by Huawei have managed to reliably increase these speeds to 100 mbps which is some magnitude larger than needed. One could argue that the Coalition plan is more preferable for Qfx holders as it brings forward the project completion by four years, increasing our potential market.
In regards to new competitors such as EzyFlix, increased entry at the bottom end of the market is, in my view, highly beneficial. As all of these parties lobby content holders for streaming rights, their stance with soften towards Qfx and potentially allow us to access new content on better terms. Foxtel Play represents a far larger threat due to its extra capital backing that will allow it to pay a premium to lock other streaming providers out of content (eg. Sport)
