Good points Loki. Did you manage to get out before the big falls while we were still in the $2 range before you bought back in at $0.80? Same reason why I got out at a loss of BAB (formerly azx when i bought it at much higher multiples) when it ran from 3-4c to 9-10c. In hindsight now it's shaping up to have been a good decision. Similarly NST i got in at 85.5 on good anouncements a coupel months ago, missed the wave down to an eventaul $0.60-0.63'ish, so I didn't make anything when it went back up to $1, but i did get out at 95.5c for a slight profit, and most importantly not a loss.
Yeah unfortunately buying and holding resource stories just aren't cutting it, in the past with a general uptrend upwards that was fine. But the next few years will be (as expected) the downturn years. May be near impossible to recover lost capital from shit hitting the fan. Allt his has shaped how i view speculative, commodity tied stocks versus the more incumbent oldies. Sure they move slow (except when you pick one that's been wrongfully valued low) but they also swing down less like a spoilt brat.
Do you think 1600USD will ever be realisable again? We all know everything eventually rises , but whether gold will get back to 1600 in a decent timeframe (i.e. for the life of mine to capitalise on)?
