Just thought i'd share this. I have imported electric bikes in the past, the maximum wattage allowed is 200. In other words you can get one but it has very little power, doesnt like hills. I wrote to Jim Llyod Trasport Minister in Camberra. I asked if he could raise the limit the same as America and Canada to 600 or 800 watts. He wrote back and said I need the Qld ministers OK. I wrote to Paul Lucas, Qld minister, he wrote back saying I need Camberra,s permission. It's only a small thing but they are emission free, silent, people want to buy them, the keep you fit, and you don't have to invent them. I honestly can't see a negative. When I asked the pollies to concider I stressed it had to be a political decision maybe that was my mistake.
