The only discouragement would come if they wanted to run the company as is. Instead of buying all the companies the same way as vocus did, they can literally do it at a heavy discount. Even a 50 % premium doesn't even put vocus to 4.00 and private equity was rumoured to be circling in with ceiling of around 4.20.

Until vocus hit mid-3s, I think they are definitely to be very cautious of a takeover bid that could ruin a lot of investors.

Lets say you are mr private equity. You have interest in buying VOC. Suddenly, the company put a profit downgrade. What will you feel? You will be confused. What is going on.

So what the course of action you will take? You will wait to see how things develop.

Again this is just an opinion.
