I believe todays market activity involved instos coordinating with other brokers to secure a position in the ASX 200 index..... this explains the massive trading volume and relatively stable price despite such high volume...
on the other hand...Goldman Sachs as the underwriter of the CR probably wants to keep the sp well above $1.50 until the allotment...it doesnt make sense for there to be just a 2.8% discount on 140 million shares unless a significant profit is guaranteed imo...
