If you've been around LNC as long as I have, you would know that the deal is 'being finalised', and the 'dotted line will have a signature in a few weeks'.
LNC was the first stock I bought back in 2007 at $0.63. Sold it a year later for $4.15, I will never forget that trade. Since then I've always had a bit of a soft spot for LNC, I've watched it for years hoping to see a turn around but I've seen no such thing. just cascading from one disastrous decision to the next.
Management was unhappy with ASX investors so they take their toys and head to the big boys sandbox in SGX, only to sell a large stake to the cornerstone for a fraction of the $4 deal last year.
