For what it's worth I've spoken to David Edwards a handful of times..I really liked his resume but I liked him more after having spoken with him..Very open..Gave me his mobile the first time we spoke..I couldn't have asked for more as a shareholder.
On the trade war..I'm not an economist or American politics expert but I believe a component of this trade war was Trump wanting to build an in-house manufacturing resilience back into the US..When businesses have to survive many find those new doors & strength..America manufacturing strength is a problem for China the longer this goes on because after the war is resolved American manufacturing will likely have strengthened & looked outside of China for growth & stability moving forward..They may not be as quick to be reliant on the Chinese economy or imports.
