He is a politician and would always prioritise his personal outcomes.. he talks about “negotiations” but what is he really wanting? Something he can take back to his “support group” in exchange for “continued support for LAMP’s plan ahead”.
It’s up to Dr M and senior pollies to give him concessions somewhere else.
In Australia the independent’s do it all the time to minority govt.
On a side note, I’m sure JARE would’ve collaborated with Lynas to plan a transition strategy of their ops in MY and de-risking “all the eggs in one basket”.
