A lot of the issues mentioned about Harry Boon as a non executive chairman could just as easily apply to any number of corporate boards.

I'm not sure it's essential for non execs to have skin in the game - that's not actually what they are there for.

The truth is that the lack of director buying over the last few years has been the best indicator going of where the shares were heading. If people chose to ignore that, so be it.
