If you read part of the JV agreement either BHP or RIO are still allowed to pursue there own projects, the JV vehicle had to have first right to purchase, if not then they had to finance it themselves.
Even RGP5 has a limit $4.8Bill for BHP
If it goes over that amount BHP have to stump up the rest themselves.
Any hiccup because of UMC could cause big dollars, so BHP would have a interest I would assume.
Hell there Misc Licences cover half our tenements.
