So until you get rid of these people controlling things all you can do is keep wondering why year after year life keeps getting worse, it is planned and it will continue because these smart people with their plans crush any bug that notices their plan and tries to do something about it. Of course they may not succeed, natural or "god like" events may stop them, if we are lucky.

Great for the ruling elites, awful for the society, diabolical for the environment,ent and climate change and horrendous for any slaves that have immigrated.

The citizens might even do Rostocks on these immigrants and their ghettos.
