Regrettably the $40 per barrel oil price doesn't trickle down to a per litre of unleaded petrol ( no surprise there).
So @ a dollar per litre,lets say $ 60 fills the car up,versus say $ 7.00 per charge/per day on an electric car,no contest really,in fact the bigger savings in going electric ,will be ongoing maintenance costs, no internal combustion engine that continually needs repair,and all that goes with it.
