The irony is that WA's Premier Gallop is using the reasoning that WA will not mine because of the risk of terrorism and dirty bombs. Well if this sort of policy further contributes to supply deficits and an explosion in uranium prices, then the black market out of Niger and other parts of Africa will get uranium to some of the most dangerous regimes in the world. This stance is idiotic and highly highly dangerous. Wouldn't it be better if Australia, which discerns and regulates where uranium is supplied, fed the world's uranium needs and we could at least monitor what is happening around the globe. People just can't see it! WA and Queensland are making the world a very dangerous place!
