They are planning to set up a detention centre for asylum seekers in the Adelaide Hills hamlet of Inverbrackie. There has been absolutely no pre-warning of this. Poor old Alexander Downer must be choking on his caviar. Even Joolya's mate, Comrade Mike Rann (Mr. 28% popularity) the Premier of SA is fuming at the lack of consultation. Imagine having 300-400 non english speaking children dumped into your child's primary school? How are the teachers going to cope? Joolya will come out though and tell us that it is all part of her grand plan. The new gyms and libraries built under the guise of a so-called Education Revolution are actually going to double up as accommodation for assylum seekers after hours. Not a bad plan but why not trial it first in your own electorate of Altona, Comrade Joolya?
