This is what we are dealing with! Incompetent pollies.
Just received a reply from The Hon Anthony Roberts MP. My urgent letter to the State Govt dated 30.11.2015 before Mel shareholders got to vote for the 25 million peanuts offerred by them. Firstly the letter was undated and postmarked 4.5.2016. It was just an impersonal letter system generated and not addressing my concerns re MEL.
It was going on about the NSW Gas Plan. What gas plan? They are proud of their achievements of buying back all the NSW PELS.
The last paragraph reads like this:
As you are aware, this Government has concluded good faith negotiations with Metgasco. As announced on 2 November 2015, an agreement to acquire, for a a sum of $25 million, the companys three Northern Rivers petroleum exploration licences and resolve all legal disputes, has been entered into with the Metgasco Board of Directors. The agreement is now subject to the approval of Metgasco's shareholders. I note that the agreement will be presented to the shareholders, with a unanimous recommendation of support by the Metgasco board, in the immediate future. My Government considers this a fair and reasonable offer, which balances the interests of NSW taxpayers and Metgasco's shareholders.

This letter arrived in my letterbox yesterday. May 5th 2016!
This now confirms why POOR MEL had waited since 2008 for a production licence and never got one, due to Labor and LNP incompetence. These are the people running our State!
