    One economist's comment:
    "it's coal or gas; there currently is no other alternative considering what has happened in Japan"

    Would be great for some sanity to start to prevail in this whole debate. I note Bob Brown putting the boot into Martin Ferguson too this morning on ABC TV.

    Gas is THE linking option for base load power supply until renewables can fill the gap which will not happen in the foreseeable future.
