Expanding into the US was just a way to hype the company. It's brand awareness in Australia is almost zero. If it was such a good idea, why not start in the US to begin with. There's a reason why it backdoor listed here, nobody wanted it.
They won't be able to monetise old videos. Besides the video creation fee I doubt they can montise videos for more than 12 months. Who wants to watch a 5 year old video of a restaurant review? There are billions of videos on the internet, they're almost all worthless. Creating video content today is cheap and easy. You don't need to pay hundreds of dollars each year in fees for a video from some unknown company and you don't even own the rights.
Nobody is going to copy this cause why would they.
