    mate, I was only half joking....

    how do you reckon the good wine growers and horse studs would go with a nuclear facility anywhere near their precious ponies. probably the rest of the valley would be ok with it, especially if the greenies get loud....

    but having such an industry in such an environment would ensure the highest security standards are maintained...

    hide it out along the Bight or the Kimberly (actually would be a good site in your books hey) and it'll be out of sight, out of mind, out for budget cuts every new Gov.

    even Lucas Hts isn't public enough to stay high in peoples' consciousness.

    but there's no way such would ever be considered as the public reaction would threaten any Gov election.

    btw I'm not talking just burying it and forgetting it at all..... reprocessing nuclear waste doesn't quite exist yet but theirs certainly a lot of interest from commercial and investment sectors and govts.we are thinking of future concepts here aren't we?
