Came back to Aus over Christmas to see family and friends. Did three weeks consultancy work for a colleague who runs an engineering firm early this year before I headed back.
Grossed $18,000 and got slugged $7,000 in tax.
Bloody ridiculous. Outright thievery. I got to keep $11,000.
Compare that to similar or better money available overseas but with a 15% flat tax. And all health care and living costs paid for on top. No comparison.
This country bleeds dry anyone who has a go but shovels money out to bludgers quicker than it can rake it in. There's no incentive to work hard in this country.
Vote Labor and the Greens for even more taxes and cash grabs..........
