My brother in law lives in Singapore, flat tax rate across the board for companies and individuals. He is not short of a quid, and has a house on a beach front worth several million for when he comes back a couple of times a year for a "holiday". He will not come back here as the tax regime here is ludicrous, the average work ethic pathetic, and the price of goods and services outrageous and unsustainable.
The problem with the idiots that inhabit the corridors of Canberra is they rely too much on the individual worker's tax to support this country and the spendthrift nature of successive Governments. Never do they ever come up with a plan to take the pressure off the worker through new innovative ideas, they just look for more ways to screw us down.
We have three layers of bludgers and wasters sucking up our money to blow it how ever and where ever they please, then when they have spent it all they have the gall to hock us all to borrow more....which we have no say in but we have to go without services to pay the money back.
The amount of our money wasted on rubbish dead head schemes and feel good hand outs every year by these lunatics would feed a third world country for a decade!
To the extent now if we get these tools in the ALP Governing for the next three years they have no plan...no plan at all to improve this country. There are no incentives to work hard and create a future, just hurdles and reasons not to bother...even ...shock horror...create a job for some one else!
All we will get is more and higher taxes, less incentive to work, less money in retirement, and fewer jobs to go around. These clowns will even refuse any additional money coming in to the country by shutting down mines which sell our product overseas and create jobs and Royalties, which among other things pays for the bloated and lazy Public Service wages and theirs for that matter!
These knuckleheads want to force the price of electricity higher so that even more companies move offshore bringing even less money back to carry the increasing burden of their debt.
If any Public Company was run the way these fools run this country the shareholders would sack the Board immediately...and of course that is what will probably happen on the 18th of May, but the new Board currently salivating on the sidelines, if they manage to lie their way in is a far worse group of self interested thugs!
This country is totally rooted...if it were possible and the opportunity arose I would be out of here tomorrow too. Lucky you Moon...
