Trading on a daily basis or trading for a short to medium term are 2 completely different things. If the guy in the example traded for a Short -medium term he would have come out with a lot of money.
If you hold long term, be prepared for hundreds of ups and downs. This is how spec stocks trade. Be prepared for this.
If you fear the hundreds of ups and downs and cant bare losing 3/4 of your cash during each up and down cycle, then you trade for short to medium term with a plan and always use a stop loss.
How you trade depends on your personality, risk appetite, amount of time you have and how much you are prepared to lose.
Regardless of what trading style you choose, noone should judge you, berate you, put you down or call you a non believer, especially when you are young, with limited funds you cant lose and only have a limited time you can trade for.
