    Read the whole thread before a knee jerk response.

    Unlike nearly every other aspect of life, where talent is rewarded by position, here's a shining example of let's make up the numbers for the sake of political correctness.

    "Intensive mentoring can help women take the next step in their careers."

    So I think there's a female football player who is naturally ungifted to make the national side, but with money and time spent on "intensive mentoring" she MAY be able to play the game.

    Regardless of sex, the best person gets the job and the same pay.

    Women obviously aren't naturally suited as a generalisation or so it looks. Yes Gail Kelly, Ann Cherry have the goods and do a great job.

    So is it Australia has a bad promotion attitude for women with skill? If it did then mentoring makes zero difference I would have thought and that promotion attitude needs changing.

    Charity jobs for women just degrades women as a whole in the workforce. Sort of like women's libers who still want their car wheels changed for them.
