Europe is a top ten trading partner for Australian exports.
By continent (in 2020), 78.2% of Australia exports by value were delivered to Asian countries while 9.5% were sold to importers in Europe. Australia shipped another 6.7% worth of goods to North America with another 4.3% going to fellow Oceania nations led by New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
Now UK accounted for 4.9% of those exports. EU countries took almost all of the other 4.6% - Germany is worth 1.2% alone - but let's take away a generous .3% for the few non-EU countries in Europe.
If you look at the EU as a single common market, then it is our 6th largest trading partner.
