    its dimwitted party fools who are compelled by big corporate interests that cause Govt to give them money they don't need or deserve.

    grants are just as bad. I recall the regional wine industry demanded (fought for over a decade) a dedicated pipeline from the dam to the vineyards to ensure wine producers could use as much water as they needed even during drought. a $1bn grant was made by fed Govt to build the pipeline.
