Blockchain is part of our future. Just like .COM bubble, there will be companies that live on and get goo returns and some that just fade away into nothing.
The use of cryptocurrencies however, as a software engineer told me. They are very similar to when computer networks were in their infancy and different networks were good at different tasks. But in the end there was one protocol that could do everything and we still use it to this day.
If that holds true then we will see one or two cryptos and that is it. Which also means the race is still on to build these and the blockchain companies still have a lot of work to go.
