if your labour cost rises because - heaven forbid - you are FORCED to pay wages like the big kids do -

if everyone else is paying the fair price for labour - then, they have 3 choices

1. buy from you
2. buy from somewhere overseas that has a cheaper product
3. don't buy at all and don't stock the item

where's your problem? - there's always going to be somewhere in the world that makes stuff cheaper than you ---------------------- kalathumpian potatoes are always going to be 2 cents a kilo - so - unless you can convince your good old aussies to buy Oz - they have you buggered

that's the only problem ----------- option 3 isn't an issue - they won't stop supplying

so - how do you get around competing with kalathumpia --

well - you want to know the way NOT TO ------------ price match em

because all you do is to race to the bottom

do a trade deal with kalathumpia --------- we'll sell you some cheap dirt if you stop selling potatoes or you put the price up or - you ban kalathumpian potatoes unless they are grown using labour paid to some sort of standard - pretty easy to work out if you're savvy

one thing I will tell you - is that if you don't do something to outsmart kalathumpia ------------ you will end up like kalathumpia
