Chesty I suggest it is for much the same reasons why people make their first post on a thread of a company they just purchased shares in. They don't do it, normally, for pats on the back; but to announce they want to participate.
Contra to that those who choose to exit share their reasons why and these are usually quite different to why they got on board in the first place and still relevant and valid for those who read the threads.
Craig, Thanks for participating and sharing but Im not going to give you a pat on the back because it obviously upsets some people for some reason.
