Leaving the knee jerk reaction to one side.

This may not be such a bad thing for CTP.

Let me say right up front I consider RC to be an honest and trustworthy business man, when he says he wants to see this company in the top 20 in Australia, I believe him.

And I also believe that he has the best interests of the shareholders in mind.

I do NOT for a moment think that RC will make a deal with Mac Bank (or any one) that is not in the best interests of the shareholders simply to make a few dollars for himself.

Of that I have NO DOUBT.

It may (repeat MAY) be that MacBank is actually doing us a favor.

It sends a message to the market

    1) CTP is in play.

    2) Mac Bank is here and looking over the books.

    3) We will have accurate information on which to make any future offer.

    4) We have Shi* Loads of money behind us and we can offer a realistic price IF WE WANT TO.

I just have a feeling in my water that this is NOT as hostile as we seem to think it is, and its more about Mac Bank taking up a stronger position which will benefit CTP holders.

However things may well be different in say 12 months time when the company has been de-risked even more.

They may be looking at a future price in say 12 months or 18 months.

I think they are doing ground work.
