I'm thinking along your lines also CB. This is not a genuine takeover bid. Maq bank DOESN'T buy small oil company's that are more explorers than producers, that's not their business.
So what is it? I'm not sure but it could well be a crafty way of getting and 'on market' valuation done of the company and driving the share price up. This would increase our market cap and allow RC access to loans that he couldn't get due to our crappy market cap.
This is all just my opinion, time will tell, but is all very interesting, I'm enjoying this chess game!
