Pensions are indexed to the CPI so pensioners would automatically be compensated for price rises and perhaps the thresh-hold income for eligibility for a part pension should be lowered so that self-funded retirees are not disadvantaged.
I meant to say Raised, not Lowered, so that more self-funded retirees qualify for a part pension.
