I agree, traditionally it would appear that way. However, in this instance I believe the capital raising is consequential (it will come later) and my money is on 'very good market news' for 2 reasons:
a. If it was a simple capital raising, they would have already come out of the halt by now.
b. I reckon some very specific good market news were starting to get out and thats why the stock was shooting up today when the market was rocketing down. They would not want to get querried, so they went into voluntary trade halt until ready to make the formal announcement.
