re: geoscience australia There is no such thing as a standard cut off grade for nany type of mineralisation to determine econmic viability-uranium, gold, copper, iron, tin, zinc -whatever dirt you are looking at will have its own perculiar economic circumstances relating to the deposit in question.
Sure you can occassionally apply 'old' industry benchmarks , but even they will vary according to latest technological advances for recovery, the availability of skilled labour, the use of second hand equipment, environmental considerations, prevailing commodity prices, etc etc etc.
There is no such thing as a simple grade value to determine econmic viability, and no self repecting professional organisation would endorse such an approach.
