Dr John Santich Chief Executive Officer John Santich (BE, MEngSc, PhD, DipLaw, MSocSc) is an engineer with over three decades of experience in mining and geoscience. He has wide experience in the direction and management of mining and technology oriented companies.
Dr Santich was instrumental in establishing Burmine Limited, as a founding director, which became a successful gold miner in Western Australian, as well as Minotaur Resources Limited, discoverer of the Prominent Hill deposit in South Australia, again as a founding director (of its predecessor Minotaur Gold Limited). As well as Burmine and Minotaur, Dr Santich was a director and promoter of Palm Springs Limited, the first listed bottled water company in Australia.
Primarily foccused on the establishment and direction of resource companies, Dr Santich has also established high technology companies promoting the advanced analysis of rotating machinery and the application of renewable energy resources. He has also worked with technical and legal teams on World Bank funded consultancies for the Department of Mining of Papua New Guinea, covering policy and legislative review and the investigation of mineral prospectivity.
Dr Santich has extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of corporate transactions including joint ventures, acquisition of resource tenements and operations, and financing arrangements. With a lifetime of application in the industry, Dr Santich will bring high level corporate and legal skills to the Company.
Dr Eng. Wieslaw Bogacz Executive Director Wieslaw (Vic) Bogacz (MSc Eng, PhD Eng) is a highly qualified geologist and engineer with more then 30 years experience in orebody exploration and development worldwide. His particular professional strength is in structural geology, tectonics and tectogenesis of deposits. He has an established reputation in the development of highly advanced interpretations of structural geological controls on mineralisation and in tectonic genesis of metalliferous deposits. More particularly, he has developed a unique method of tectogenetic analysis of ore systems with predictive capacity, allowing exploratory extensions of existing orebodies, which has also proven successful in conceptual grass root exploration leading directly to the discovery of new orebodies.
In conjunction with BFP Consultants Pty Ltd, a leading consulting group in Australia, Dr Bogacz has implemented innovative development models of deposits which are highly regarded in the geotechnical assessment of proposed mine designs, existing open-cut and underground mines.
His consulting company, Archon Resource Technologies Pty Ltd, is known throughout the Australian and international (particulary South American) exploration and mining industries for its expertise and project management skills in 250-300 projects worldwide. In the Australian mineral industry Dr Bogacz worked throughout the Yilgarn Craton and Patterson Orogen in WA, the Gawler Craton and Flinders Ranges in SA, the Lachlan Fold Belt in Victoria and NSW, and the Mt Isa Inlier in Queensland.
Dr Bogacz has provided his expertise to major mining houses including Newcrest Mining, WMC, Rio Tinto and Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines, where his predictive tectogenetic models have led to fundamental reappraisals of world class deposits including goldcopper (Telfer), gold (Golden Mile), gold-zinc (Mt Gibson), nickel (Mt Keith) and diamond (Argyle).
He is co-founder of mining and exploration companies, including Minotaur Gold Limited (precursor of Minotaur Resources) and, more recently, Oroya Mining Limited which is developing the Mt Gibson project, a major gold and base metal ore system in WA is now being developed in partnership with Barrick Mines Limited. Dr Bogacz provides consulting on the Mt Gibson deposit and the Prominent Hill IOCG deposit, the latter discovered by the Minotaur/BHP Billiton joint venture in the Gawler Craton in 2001.
