    Science Boy, you don't think it could be along these lines? I know this was for a different Isotope (U233) but the same would apply to recycled U235 which had actinides in it, it was also done at Oak Ridge?

    Merrick was tasked to perform detailed design of shielded facilities and for adapting processes for remote operability and maintainability.

    But this one here is the one that made me sit up and take notice, if they were working on shielding at Oak Ridge for the above project (U233?), then I can't see why they wouldn't use some of the same thinking with this project below!

    And it started in 2008 and was due to go through to 2013, when was the stuff from Oak Ridge moved to Wilmington?

    Merrick is currently under contract to a Confidential Commercial Nuclear Client
    as the prime contractor where Merrick is responsible for engineering and design
    services and managing the fabrication of Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Equipment
    for a proposed $2B nuclear fuel manufacturing facility
    . The design services
    include multiple phases of the project, with contract duration from 5 to 15 years;
    Merrick’s contract is currently valued at $100M.
    Merrick’s scope of work includes providing design and engineering support
    for all equipment and major portions of the new facilities design, including
    managing the prototyping and fabrication of highly specialized and classified
    equipment
    . Technical services include civil, mechanical, structural, EI&C,
    and process engineering, architecture, and facilities engineering. Merrick
    performs the work in an established classified work office in accordance with US
    Nuclear Regulatory (NRC) security requirements. All work is being performed
    in accordance with 10CFR70, Domestic Licensing of Special Nuclear Material,
    Quality Assurance Standard ANSI/ASME NQA-1, and nuclear industry design
    codes and standards.
