Moosey: My understanding is that Silex has demonstrated that commercial direct separation of 235U is possible? If GEH were interested in this being part of the ARC, they haven't included it. Why? One possible reason is that Silex is classified and can't be used outside of the US (apart from Aust but with US permission). GEH wants to sell one of these ARCs to the UK to reprocess their weapons stockpile, so Silex can't be a part of the ARC if it is to go global. Which means the CANDU bundle has to be shipped to the US (or Aust) to close the recycling cycle (or gets sent to a CANDU and then buried). Ideally, for GEH and Silex, Australia should build an ARC but that option is not a possibility in the current political climate. Paducah or some other US site will have to be the first cab off the rank. That classification is a veritable anchor around Silex's neck!

    Cheers
