Hi John--I have to leave for work in a minute--agree with the points you have made--thing is I love the stockmarket--even from an early age--I used to like the persuaders on tv--the opening to that shows the guy making a fortune from rags to riches--I was reasonably succesfull--up untill about 1998--then I made a big boo--overleveraging--losing approx 90,000 dollars in one day (I had a good pick---Colnial that CBA later took over for 10 dollars per share--I had them at around 3.90---only thing is they decided to do a rights issue at around (from memory)--3.20--the price dropped--if I'd had a stop loss---or had not been overleveraged--I would have been okay---it was very sad for me--to see them rise from that 3.20 point!--lol--having been forced to sell---anyway so many errors--I have made in the past to learn from---get the positives out of the experience. regards--steve.
