Here's a bit of speculation, two majors that are based in Houston that I know of are Apache and ConocoPhilips and . Kosmos, previously mentioned is based in Dallas. Of course there are probaly others.

One of the directors was previously with Apache.

Tullow also mentioned previously is London with an office in Africa.

Conoco and Apache have some stuff in Africa but not NW Africa. This is a positive.

Anyway, hopefully the suspense of it all will be soon released, because the waiting is just plain not fun!
