Correct.
In fact, the new RNA interference regimes, whether they be shRNA or siRNAi etc. are questionable in their ability to get to reservoirs. This counts for HCV and HIV.
The future cure/s IMO lie with the above RNA interference technologies, (one shot technology) however if it is proven they don't get to the reservoirs then they will be looking to combine with something like BIT225. Fortunately BIT225 is the only candidate so far.
The most promising HIV trial is Calimmune's trial. They use ddRNAi and stem cell aspheresis. A cure beckons. DYOR.
