P. Murray is buying shares indirectly via LCE, a company he is the chairman of. So the cost of those shares will be paid by LCE. Mr Murray's personal apportionment of the 1.5M, and that of the other 3 parties (Mr S. Hughes, Mr B.Birthistle, and Imperial Pacific Fund Managers) is yet to be announced.
It appears the director buying window may have closed, as the buying at 32 by P.Murray and R. Chenery looks to have now concluded. if that is the case, the next buying window won't occur until after the AGM in November.
The time looks ripe for CPB to up their bid and make a serious grab for shares if they are going to press on with the takeover.
