@Sailor FNQ; thanks for clarifying your earlier post, as I indicated earlier, the route we took from Zurich to Milan included tunnels, elevated track over what seemed like nothing but air and gob-smacking scenery.
If Morrison and his Muppets had undertaken to build that line from Zurich to Milan they'd have opted for steam trains but of course gross incompetence and the $Need to $Feed $Greed instead would have ensured it was never done.
